PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the silver halide photographic sensitive material high in sensitivity and small in fluctuation of gradation due to high illuminance at the time of exposure and small in fluctuation of sensitivity due to fluctuation of temperature at the time of exposure. SOLUTION: The photosensitive material contains in the emulsion layer (1) tabular emulsion A having an average distance between twin crystal faces of <0.03μm and tabular emulsion B having that of >=0.03μm, and the average corresponding sphere diameter of A equal to or more than that of B, (2) tabular emulsion C having an average thickness of 100-500 nm and tabular emulsion D having a thickness of <70% of the thickness of D, (3) 2 kinds of tabular emulsion having an average corresponding sphere diameter of >=0.05μm and that of <0.30μm and having dislocation lines introduced, (4) tabular emulsion G having dislocation lines only in the circumferential regions and tabular emulsion (H) having dislocation lines in the central regions, (5) tabular emulsion I having hexagonal principal faces and tabular emulsion J having circular faces, (6) tabular emulsion K and L reduction-sensitized or not, (7) tabular emulsion M containing polyvalent metal ions in an amount of <1×10<-7> mol/AgX and tabular emulsion N containing those in an amount of <1×10<-7> mol/AgX.
