PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the possibility of a fluorescent lamp dying out at the dimmed lighting, without lowering the efficiency of a step-up chopper circuit. SOLUTION: This device is equipped with a dimming setting part S for setting full lighting or reduced lighting of a fluoresent lamp 30, a direct-current power supply device 10 for converting an alternating-current power supply voltage into a predetermined direct-current voltage, to be outputted at the time of full lighting and boosting the direct-current voltage each time the reduced light is increased by the setting of the dimming setting part S, and a plurality of inverter devices 20 each conncted to the direct-current power supply device 10, having a frequency set corresponding to the direct-current voltage outputted according to the setting of the dimming setting part S, and converting the direct-current voltage of the direct-current power supply device 10 into high-frequency voltage with the frequency selected, based on the setting of the dimming setting part S for applying it to the fluorescent lamp 30. |
