PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease a difference in performance between sealed lead-acid batteries in use by efficiently dissipating the generated heat even if the plurality of sealed lead-acid batteries each held in a longitudinally or transversely lying position are combined into a battery system and to easily install the number of sealed lead-acid batteries. SOLUTION: This battery system has a plurality of ribs 4 of different heights having the same wavy form, which differ in height vertically and which are provided on the opposite walls of the plate surfaces of a battery jar 1 opposite to the working surface of a plate 2, and when a plurality of sealed lead-acid batteries used in transversely lying positions so that the ribs 4 of different heights are located at the right and left are combined for use, gap parts 15 are formed at the low parts of the ribs 4 of different heights between the adjacent sealed lead-acid batteries. |
