PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a temperature control device capable of preventing a temperature detecting means from being wrongly connected and correctly controlling temperature. SOLUTION: A fixing heater 13a is heated for a designated time before starting the normal temperature control of a fixing device. At this time, if a fixing thermistor 11 and a pressure roller thermistor 12 are connected correctly, a temperature rise in the fixing thermistor 11 is larger than that in the pressure roller thermistor 12. Accordingly, whether the fixing thermistor 11 and the pressure roller thermistor 12 are connected correctly can be determined by comparing the temperature rise in each thermistor. |
