PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cell assembly device by which the occurrences of conges tion in a network is suppressed by having a response to host layer protocol processing improved, when assembling a packet into a cell and transferring the cell. SOLUTION: In the cell assembly device that uses a cell assembling system, in which one cell carrying information equivalent to that of a plurality of packets is transferred to convert packets into cells, when a target packet is shared by a plurality of cells, an indication denoting an end of a packet is added to a header of one preceding cell to a cell, in which an end of the target packet is set. Or when other packet is not set to a cell to which an end of the target packet is set, an indication denoting the end of the packet is added to the header of the cell. Or when other succeeding packet is not set to a cell to which the end of the target packet is set, an indication denoting the end of the packet is added to the header of the cell. |
