PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the multi-beam optical scanning device of a low price and excellent productivity capable of easily adjusting a sub scanning pitch in simple constitution. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a light source part where semiconductor lasers 101 and 102 and a collimator lens for turning laser beams from the semiconductor lasers 101 and 102 to parallel luminous fluxes are arrayed in a main scanning direction, a polygon mirror 109, a cylinder lens 108 provided with a curvature in a sub scanning direction orthogonal to the main scanning direction for linearly image-forming light beams from the light source part on the polygon mirror 109 and an fθlens 111 for image-forming the laser beams deflected by the polygon mirror 109 on the surface 116a to be scanned of a photosensitive body 116. In this case, the cylinder lens 108 is supported so as to be displaced in aγdirection for changing the inclination of the generator within a surface orthogonal to the optical axis.
