PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use exposure tolerance completely by selecting and adjusting a specific reference part of view corresponding to a digital image, changing the residual code values of the digital image, converting it into a new digital image and forming a visual image in response to a converted 3rd digital image. SOLUTION: This method maintains exposure tolerance included in more than one digital image that is substantially and linearly captured by an image sensor 12, stores it in a storage unit 16 and converts it into an output digital image for which an output device 20 is used through processing. The device 20 can be an ink jet printer or an electronic picture printer. A digital image in the unit 16 is shown on a monitor 24 and a user watches the monitor 24 and selects a specific reference point of displayed view that corresponds to the digital image. An operator offers an input with which a digital computer 18 makes the code value of the reference part correspond to desired density through a user input 26 such as a keyboard. |
