PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device constituted so that excellent cleaning performance corresponding to the damaged state of a transfer belt is achieved, the turning-over of a blade and the back staining of a paper are prevented from occurring extending over a long term and the service life of the transfer belt can be prolonged. SOLUTION: This copying machine 1 is provided with a photoreceptor drum 2 carrying a toner image obtained, based on an image signal. Then an exposure device 40 forming a linear image for supplying toner being as lubricant to the transfer belt 12 is disposed around the drum 2. The linear image is formed on the feeding surface of the belt 12 in the timing of the initializing action of the copying machine and in the timing of an interval between papers obtained when the prescribed number of papers is passed and scraped by the cleaning blade 19. Then the number of papers passed through the belt 12 is counted and the quantity of toner supplied as the linear image is adjusted so as to be gradually reduced in accordance with the increase of the number of passing papers. |
