PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a record compensation method for improving positional accuracy of a mark to be formed in optical information recording devices different in a track recording density. SOLUTION: In this device constituted so that an optical disk 100 is irradiated with light in pulse to form marks showing record information at the positions of a starting end and a terminal, when the record is compensated to reduce those shifts of the marks at the starting end terminal positions which depend on the mark lengths, the intensity of the irradiation light for forming the mark is varied by a power controller 104 according to the mark lengths, and the intensity of the irradiation light is further varied according to the recording density in the direction of the mark length. |
