PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a general photographer to take a swing and tilt photograph through easy operation by calculating a swing and tilt angle according to the output of a focus information generating means. SOLUTION: The image pickup signal outputted from an imager 4 is outputted as a luminance signal through an S/H circuit 9 and an LPF 10. The output of the LPF 10 is processed by a BPF 11 and a detecting circuit 12 and outputted as a contrast value (focus information) showing the focusing state of a video signal. The output of the detecting circuit 12 is inputted to integrating circuits 13 to 17 constituting a focus information generating means so as to calculate swing and tilt information. The respective integrating circuits integrate contrast information on the upper part, lower part, center part, right part, and left part of a subject on an imager. According to the contrast information corresponding to the respective parts, a CPU 22 sets a swing and tilt angle and the imager 4 is driven to respective swing and tilt positions. |
