PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a novel complex-specific antibody that comprises an antibody specific to prostate-specific antigen/antichymotrypsin (PSA-ACT) complex and is useful in the process for discriminating the malignant state from the benign state and for diagnosis of prostatic cancer. SOLUTION: This is a novel antibody that specifically binds to a complex of prostate-specific antigen and antichymotrypsin (PSA-ACT complex) is useful for distinguishing the state of patient's prostate, whether it is benign or malignant. This antibody is obtained by preparing an antibody library shown by a recombinant replication vector particles, bringing it into contact with the complex, recovering the vector particles binding to the complex to select the vector particles presenting the antibody specific only to the antigen complex, recovering unbinding particles by bringing the library into contact with the primary subunit, recovering the unbinding particles by bringing the unbinding particles recovered in the preceding step into contact with the second subunit, replicating these particles as a clone and by expressing this vector in the host cells. |
