PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photocatalytic membrane-forming ink which is a stable ink very suitable fox printing photocatalytic membranes and is capable of forming membranes high in photocatalytic activity and excellent in abrasion resistance and a method for forming photocatalytic membranes. SOLUTION: A desired photocatalytic membrane forming ink comprises at least one titanium oxide sol formed by hydrolyzing and polycondesing a titanium alkoxide, a titanium acetylacetonate or a titanium compound as the major component, and reaction-completed oxide fine particles. In this instance, the content of the reaction-completed oxide fine particles is 5-50 mol.% of the ink major component.
