PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a superelastic alloy free from Ni, easily used as an industrial structural material, and excellent in corrosion resistance, workability, or the like. SOLUTION: This alloy is a Ti-V-Al alloy which has a composition, on the basis of the total weight of three components, consisting of, in the ternary composition diagram shown in the figure, Ti, Al, and V within the region enclosed with lines connecting points A, B, C, and D specified as follows: A(79.8% Ti, 17.5% V, 2.7% Al), B (76.8% Ti, 20.5% V, 2.7% Al), C (73.8% Ti, 20.5% V, 5.7% Al), D (76.8% Ti, 17.5% V, 5.7% Al). |
