<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the rising and the like of products and scraps by providing an assist gas releasing valve which stops the supply of the assist gas simultaneously with the completion of laser processing and discharges the assist gas in a processing head for rapidly reducing the residual pressure. SOLUTION: A work W being put on frogs 2 of a worktable is irradiated with a laser light along with the ejection of an assist gas by a processing head 1, so as to cut a product Ws. At the time of completion or just before the completion of the cutting, an assist gas supply valve Vi is closed, and simultaneously an assist gas releasing valve Vo is opened to discharge the assist gas, resulting in the rapid reduction of the residual pressure in the processing head 1. This makes it possible to prevent troubles that the product Ws and scrap are risen or stuck by the gas pressure. It is preferable that the assist gas releasing valve discharges the assist gas while interlocking with the stop of the assist gas supply valve by a control means such as a processing program.</p> |
