<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently remove harmful substances such as dioxins, PCB, NOx and mercury in a waste gas by providing the discharging side of a bag filter for a waste gas with an activated carbon filter having a gas passage port in the direction from the bag filter cloth face to the center. SOLUTION: A waste gas 1 flows in from the outside of an almost cylindrical bag filter cloth 2 held a supporting frame 3 and is filtered by the bag filter cloth 2 to decrease dust and dioxins. Then, the gas is passed through an activated carbon filter 4 and the purifying gas 5 is discharged from the upper part of the bag filter. A pulse jet 6 to sweep and drop off the dust is intermittently blown from the upper part of the bag filter to expand the bag filter cloth 2 and to sweep and drop off the dust depositing on the outside surface of the bag filter cloth 2. The activated carbon filter 4 may consist essentially of powdery activated carbon, granular activated carbon, fibrous activated carbon or a mixture of these and especially, the fibrous activated carbon is preferable.</p> |
