<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple and economical method of preparing a high purity, clean and dried polymer particle having small particle diameter. SOLUTION: A soln. comprising water and a polyvinyl alcohol contg. an acetate group is prepared. To the prepared soln., a mixture of an alkali metal iodide and iodine are added, and to the resulting mixture an initiator and, in some case, a crosslinking agent are added, and a monomer, a monomer mixture, or a monomer/polymer mixture is added. and it is polymerized. In this method, iodide/iodine/acetate complex is formed before the polymn.</p> |
