PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a high-speed spun yarn capable of stably winding without using an oiling agent inducing a fuzz or yarn breaking even in a higher processing by dispersing a particle-like specific fiber elongation improver into a polyester filament in a specific state. SOLUTION: This high elongation polyester filament yarn having >=50% residual elongation increasing fraction is obtained by dispersing a particle-like fiber elongation improver having 105-130 deg.C heat distortion temperature into polyester in an amount of 0.5-4.0 wt.%, subjecting the resultant blend to melt spinning and winding while drawing at 2,500-8,000 m/min drawing speed. When the cross section of the resultant filament is regarded as a round cross section, a dispersed concentration of the elongation improver is maximized in an annular part B occupying a region of (1/3)-(2/3) from the center of the cross section to an outer surface in the radial direction and a number of the particles existing on the outer surface of the filament is <=15 pieces/100μm<2> . |
