PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out initializing process so that an actual working position matches with a target position while avoiding occurrence of dispersion for each of products on an idle air quantity control device to drive an idle adjusting valve by a step motor. SOLUTION: This control device carries out initialization process by arranging a switch 211 so that a valve element 7 of an idle adjusting valve V continues in a state where it is at either of its valve closing limit or valve opening limit and energizing the valve element 7 to the closing side by a spring 20 so as to absorb backlash of a motive power transmission means 8. In this case, a step motor M is actuated in the opposite direction after the valve element 7 is driven to either of the valve closing limit and the valve opening limit, the working pulse number of the step motoris reset at the point of time when the switch M is changed from a continuing state to a blocking state, and an opening position of an idle adjusting valve V at the point of time of resetting is decided at a standard position. |
