摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel pump capable of securing a specified discharge quantity without increasing the power consumption, in which the man-hours for winding a coil are reduced. SOLUTION: The pump part 20 of a fuel pump device is of displacement type and inner gear type. The motor part 30 is of brushless motor of outer rotor type. Because of outer winding of coil, an outer rotor type motor requires lesser man-hours for winding the coil, compared with an inner rotor type motor formed by inner winding process. Even if the revolving speed is set below 6000 rpm, the pump part 20 of displacement type can discharge the fuel in equal quantity to a non-displacement type pump using impeller, etc. The inner gear type pump can reduce the sliding resistance of the pump part 20. The revolving speed of the pump part 20 is set to a proper value below 6000 rpm, and thereby the power supplied to the motor part 30 is reduced, which should enhance the rate of fuel consumption.</p>
