<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To rapidly replenish the hydraulic fluid of large flowing rate, taking less time to pull out air of the manufacturing process, especially, thereby an adequate performance is ensured when the traction control is operated. SOLUTION: In this master cylinder, a first replenish passage replenishes hydraulic fluid with a pressure chamber 9 from a hydraulic fluid reservoir for a master cylinder MC via a hydraulic fluid supply port 20a, a replenishment passage 22, and a hydraulic fluid replenishment port formed in a piston. In parallel to the first replenishment passage, the second replenishment passage is formed from the hydraulic fluid supply port 20a directly to the pressure chamber 9. A check valve 51 is disposed in the second replenishment passage 50. When pressure in the pressure chamber 9 is lower than the pressure of the hydraulic fluid reservoir, the check valve 51 is opened to flow the hydraulic fluid into the pressure chamber 9. Contrary, when pressure in the pressure chamber 9 is higher than the pressure of the hydraulic fluid reservoir, the valve is closed, so that the hydraulic fluid does not flow from the pressure chamber 9 into the hydraulic fluid reservoir.</p> |
