<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a massager that can execute massage in accordance with the degree of fatigue, using the relation between the amount of lactic acids and the degree of fatigue. SOLUTION: On the basis of the intensity of light detected by a sensor section 26 including a light source 28 that applies light of a wavelength in the near infrared radiation area and a light receiving section 32 that receives light reflected from a detection area, a microcomputer 40 computes the amount of lactic acids and determines the degree of fatigue, and a massaging ball 24 performs a massage operation in accordance with a command of a massage operation control section 44. Automatic measurement of the degree of fatigue of a user and setting of optimal operating time and a massaging method on the basis of the result of the measurement permit a comfortable, effective massage. Shorter operating time allows effective massaging operation.</p> |
