PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle running control device having a turning position control means for correcting a turning position of the vehicle and an automatic running control means for allowing the vehicle to run automatically under a predetermined conditions so as to maintain each accuracy of the respective means at a high level. SOLUTION: An ACC vehicle target deceleration calculated by a headway distance ECU. Based on output signals of vehicle running degree sensor, the detected running degree of the vehicle is used to determine whether or not a turning position ECU is ready to effectively operate (step 106). If the aforementioned condition is not established, the ACC vehicle target deceleration is written as the vehicle target deceleration (step 108). Meanwhile, if the condition is established, such value is not over-written. Then the vehicle target deceleration is output to VSC operating section (step 110).
