发明名称 SCORCHING OF FRICTION MATERIAL
摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scorching method of a friction material, by which the thickness of a scorch layer formed on the friction material is easily set without deviation and the temp. of the whole friction material, and also, the temp. of a sticking layer are not raised. SOLUTION: Laser beam is formed as parallel beam flux and made to converge with a condensing lens 7 and the surface of the friction material as a work 8 is disposed at a position in the optical axis of a converging lens 1 while apart from the focus, and the laser beam is irradiated to the surface of the work 8 as a spot 10. The heating treatment to the surface of the work 8 is executed by relative shift between the spot 10 and the work 8 on an x-y plane between theme. Since this treatment is a heat treatment using the laser beam, the scoring can be executed in the same degree. Further, the treatment is executed to the spot 10 apart from the focus, the scorching can be executed within a shorter time than that by a treatment executed to the focus.
