PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve mold release property at a high temperature and prevent deterioration of press mold and improve durability by forming nickel film on which a metal carbide is dispersed onto the substrate surface of a direct press mold of molten glass. SOLUTION: A nickel film 12 containing a compound of nickel and phosphorus in which 10-50 vol.%, preferably 20-40 vol.% metal carbide having 0.5-25μm particle diameter is dispersed, and if necessary, an intermediate layer comprising nickel or nickel alloy such as nickel-chromium alloy and a noble metal film 11 are formed onto the surface of a substrate 13 of a press mold 10 for highly precise molding directly forming a molding surface by a press used for direct press molding of molten glass and re-heat press molding of solid glass so that total thickness of the intermediate layer and the noble metal film 11 become 10-500μm, preferably 50-300μm. Thereby, peeling of the noble metal film is prevented and dimensional accuracy of the product can be kept at a high level.
