PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small and low-cost machine exclusive to key seating or slotting work capable of centering without skilled labor. SOLUTION: An insulated work table 90 is impressed with voltage through a lead 104. A workpiece is fed to right and left directions. A center position is calculated from digital displays 99 of conducting signal positions at right and left contact positions E1, E2 of a cutting tools 33 inserted into a through hole 305 for cutting a key groove with an inner wall of the through hole 305. A work position relative to the cutting tool 33 is set with a scale 97 and is fixed by an eccentric lever 107. An air cylinder is interlocked to feed the work table automatically and intermittently at a set cutting pitch. A cutting distance (s) of the key groove is set by a spaced distance between two magnetic sensors, and the work table 90 is fed in a rearward direction intermittently to cut a key groove K of depth (d) within a range in which both magnetic sensors are able to sense a magnet integral with the work table 90. |
