PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form ink jet recording paper having fine glossiness in the white paper part and printing part, and surface strength in the white paper part, and also having an ink jet recording adaptability. SOLUTION: The recording paper is formed by providing at least one layer of a coating layer containing a pigment and adhesive on a base material, and whose glossiness of 75 deg. (JIS-P 8142) is made 30% or more in the white paper part. In this instance, an outermost of the coating layer contains silica minute grains having an average grain diameter of 3 nm or more and 4 nm or lower in the first grains and an average grain diameter of 10 nm or more and 300 nm or lower in the secondary grains, after providing the outermost layer, it is finished by being heat-compressed by a heat calender including specular rollers. |
