PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve assembly precision with a magnetic drum as a magnetic medium in an MR sensor using a magnetic resistance effect. SOLUTION: This is an MR sensor for extracting the cyclic magnetic signal in a cycleλof a magnetic body as the resistance change of a magnetic resistance effect element, and the magnetic resistance effect element is constituted of linear parts 1 and 3 and a connecting part 2, and at least one or more linear parts are arranged on parallel lines with intervalsλ, and connected by the connecting part in an integrated structure 4. This magnetic resistance effect element is connected with a magnetic resistance effect element provided with an opposite phase to the magnetic resistance effect element, and a serial connecting circuit is connected between power sources, and serial connecting points are used as output terminals in a magnetic resistance effect circuit. Five sets of magnetic resistance effect circuits are formed, and a phase inverting means is connected with the outputs of four bridge circuits in which the phase difference of the magnetic resistance effect circuits are (1/8±1/2)λ. Then, the phase difference is converted intoλ/8, and four phase outputs whose phases are shifted by 1/8λare obtained from the outputs of the four bridge circuits.
