PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an antibacterial composition having good adhesion to an unsaturated polyester resin molding by mixing a polysilazane having a specified number-average molecular weight and a specified structure with a silver- containing antibacterial agent. SOLUTION: A polysilazane having a main skeleton comprising units of the formula and having a number-average molecular weight of 100-50,000. In the formula, R<1> , R<2> , an R<3> are each H, an alkyl, an alkenyl, a cycloalkyl, an aryl, a group in which the group directly bonded to the silicon atom is C, an alkylsilyl, an alkylamino, or an alkcoxy (provided that at least one of R<1> to R<3> is H). The silver-containing antibacterial is desirably an inorganic one having a mean particle diameter of 0.4μm or below. The antibacterial agent can be dispersed in the polysilazane by dispersing it first in a solvent and mixing the dispersion with the polysilazane. The amount of the antibacterial agent added is desirably 0.1-5 mass % based on the solid matter of the polysilazane.
