PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain non-sensing state and ensure inflation of the air bag during rapid deceleration of the vehicle by absorbing shock in the direction other than sensing direction. SOLUTION: A vehicle is provided with a main sensor for sensing the shock in the traveling direction of the vehicle and a pair of satellite sensors for sensing the shock in the direction at a predetermined angleθ=30 deg. with respect to the traveling direction. The satellite sensor has a detection portion 58 consisting of a magnet mass 50 for sensing the shock, a coil spring 52, and a lead switch 62. The detection portion 58 is coated with an outer housing. The outer peripheral surface of the outer housing is wound with a damping sheet 56 for shock absorbing.
