摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new bacterium resistant to azaserine or β-(2-thienyl)-DL- alanine and having productivity of L-serine, and useful for producing L-serine or the like which is used for amino acid mixture raw material or the like useful in the field of pharmaceuticals, chemicals and cosmetics. SOLUTION: This bacterium is a new coryneform bacterium (e.g. Brevibacterium flavum AJ13327) having such a enzyme that is resistant to azaserine or β-(2-thienyl)-DL-alanine and has productivity of L-serine. The enzyme is formed by replacing the amino acid residue corresponding to the glutamic acid residue at the 325th position in the amino acid sequence described in the formula with the other amino acid residue in D-3-Phosphoglycerate dehydrogenase (3-PGDH) having the amino acid sequence described in the formula, or the amino acid sequence which is formed by undergoing substitution, addition or deletion in one or plural amino acids of the above amino acid sequence. The bacterium is useful for producing L-serine or the like which is used for producing an amino acid mixture useful in the field of pharmaceuticals, chemicals, cosmetics or the like.
