PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a high-strength product without using a plastic clay and a binder, comprising a sintered compact of a molding hydrate of mixed powder composed of a feldspar-based raw material, silica rock and alumina cement in a specific ratio. SOLUTION: Mixed powder comprises 20-60 wt.% of feldspar-based raw material, 20-60 wt.% of silica rock and 10-50 wt.% of alumina cement. In the case of the feldspar-based raw material consisting essentially of potassium feldspar, obtained porcelain develops a high strength in the same density as that of ordinary porcelain. When finely granulated silas balloon is used as the feldspar-based raw material, porcelain having a density of sintered compact of about 80% that of ordinary porcelain high strength is obtained. The particle size of the mixed powder is preferably about 1-20 μm. The mixed powder is subjected to pressure forming, hydrated at a temp. of 15-35 deg.C for about 1-48 hours and dried. The molding is baked at a temp. of 1,100-1,400 deg.C to give the high-strength porcelain. |
