PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve discriminating precision for passengers waiting for an elevator at an elevator hall. SOLUTION: The first and second cameras 4, 5 connected to an image processing part 6 are mounted on a ceiling 1a at an elevator hall 1. When a passenger operates a landing button 2, the passenger is shot by first and second cameras 4, 5, and the images of its information are processed by an image processing part 6. As a result, the planar shape and height of the passenger who has operated the landing button 2 are detected. An operating mode controlling part discriminates the passenger based on information from the image processing part 6. The command signal of an operating mode is transmitted from the operating mode control part to the operation controlling part 9 to shift the operating mode. As the operating mode, an ordinary operating mode, a wheelchair operating mode, a child operating mode, a sleeping car operating mode, or the like is available. |
