PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the influence of moisture, to improve toxic gaseous material penetration preventive efficiency and air permeability and to suppress a hot feel and moist feel by tightly adhering protective layers on both sides of an active carbon cloth layer consisting of fibrous active carbon of a specific amt. or below on an acidic base quantity existing on the surface, thereby constituting the protective clothing material. SOLUTION: The active carbon cloth 5 is formed by the fibrous active carbon of <=0.2 millequivalent/g per unit weight of the fibrous active carbon in the acid base quantity existing on the surface. The protective layers 4 are laminated on both sides of such active carbon cloth 5 in tight contact therewith. The laminated layers may be formed by bonding, etc., by adhesives. The protective layers 4 provide the protection of the active carbon cloth layer 5. If, for example, the protective clothing material is formed, other functions such as liquid toxic chemical material protective performance is preferably imparted to the material. The material may be hardly affected by the moisture and the protective property may be improved by such constitution. |
