PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve scorch resistance, transparency and abrasion resistance by forming on a substrate an active energy ray cured coating film containing a metal oxide fine particle having a specific primary particle diameter, a (meth) acryloyl group containing compound, a thermoplastic polymer and an active energy ray sensitive radical polymerization initiator. SOLUTION: A total of 100 pts.wt. (hereinafter referred to as parts) of a mixture consisting of 20-95 parts of a metal oxide fine particle containing at least one metallic element selected from Li, Mg, Al, K, Ca, Ti, V, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni and the like and oxygen and having a primary particle diameter of 1-500 nm, 5-80 parts of a compound having one or more (meth)acryloyl groups in a molecule and 0-50 parts of a thermoplastic polymer with a number average molecular weight of 10,000-1,000,000 is blended with 0.1-10 parts of an active energy ray sensitive radical polymerization initiator to obtain a composition. The composition is coated on a substrate and is irradiated with an active energy ray having a wavelength of 200-600 nm to form a 1-500μm thick active energy ray cured coating film.
