PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the reliability of a shaft sealing device by intending to lengthen its lift. SOLUTION: A lip seal 33 is accommodated in a seal accommodation chamber 122 between a rotary shaft 13 and a front housing 12. The lip seal 33 is composed of a ring case 34, a rubber O-ring 35 fitted in a groove 341 at the periphery of the case 34, a pair of ring-shaped holding metal piece 36 and 37 installed at the inside surface of the case 34, a lip ring 38 of rubber held by the metal piece 36, a lip ring 39 of fluoro-reisn held by the metal piece 37, and a ring- shaped metal piece 40 for holding the attitude. Solid lubricant layers 42 and 43 are furnished on the slide contact parts 381 and 391 of the lip ring 38 and lip ring 39, respectively, which make slide contact with the peripheral surface 132 of the rotary shaft 13. |
