PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus capable of preparing a wrapped structure having a smooth surface from a rodlike food material in order to produce a food such as a bun with a bean-jam filling or a rice dumpling covered with the bean jam without causing the seizure even by using a dust by specifying the shape of a polyhedron for spherically wrapping and cutting a material. SOLUTION: The intermediate part of each polyhedron 10 for spherically wrapping and cutting a continuous rodlike food material wrapping an enclosed material such as a bean jam on the inside of an outer covering material into a rodlike shape in the thickness direction is made to precedently penetrate from the upper and lower surfaces of the polyhedron 10 into the side of the rodlike material and fluidize the outer covering material of the rodlike material in the upward and downward directions.
