PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a particle classifier excellent in durability, capable of efficiently classifying even high temp. particles. SOLUTION: A flat plate 10 made of a heat-resistant material equipped with a large number of inclined grooves 2 extending in inclined direction is arranged so as to provide an angleαof inclination from the horizontal surface. A particle charging part 6 is provided in the upper part of the flat plate 1 and a coarse particle recovery part 7 and a recovery part 8 of fine particles falling along the inclined grooves 2 are provided in the lower part thereof. Since classification utilizing the flat plate 1 can be performed, even high temp. particles of 900-1,000 deg.C can be continuously classified efficiently.
