PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a shampoo composition having desirable antidandruff characteristics by using an undecyleneamidopropyl betain having antifungal activities against Pityrosporum ovalae of fungus which is a causative agent of the dandruff as a part of an amphoteric surfactant of a detergent principal ingredient. SOLUTION: This shampoo composition comprises detergent principal ingredients consisting of (A) an amphoteric surfactant selected from an alkylamphocarboxyglycinate, an alkylamphocarboxypropyonate, an alkylamphodiacetate, an alkylamphodipropyonate, an alkylamphoglycinate, an alkylamphopropionate, an alkyliminopropionate, an alkyliminodiisopropionate, an alkylamphopropylsulfate, an alkyl betain and the like, and (B) an anionic surfactant selected from a 10-14C alkyl sulfate and a 10-14C alkylether sulfate, and contains an undecyleneamidopropyl betain used as a part of the component A.
