<p>PURPOSE: To quickly and automatically report the occurrence of an automobile emergency state and information about its current position to a base station and to track the automobile at the base station in an automobile emergency notifying device. CONSTITUTION: An automobile 2 is provided with a GPS receiver 12 and a radio telephone set 15, a base station 3 is provided with a central processing unit 31, a telephone set 32 and a storage section 33 and when starting of the automobile 2 by a means other than a key for starting the automobile 2 is detected by a detecting section 15a, or when an emergency switch 15b is pressed, a current position information signal, an emergency state signal and the telephone number data of its own are automatically sent from the radio telephone set 15 to the base station 3. The base station 3 can recognize the occurrence of an emergency state based on the received signals and quickly perform tracking.</p> |
