<p>PURPOSE:To enable highly efficient high speed traveling of a capsule by providing a plurality of linear motors which also serve as guide rails, a capsule composed of a non-magnetic body freely travelable through a pipe while being guided by the linear motor, and the like. CONSTITUTION:A capsule 1 having circular cross section is inserted into a pipe 2 having circular cross section. The pipe 2 includes a steel pipe having inner circumferential face galvanized with a conductive material, a non-magnetic pipe, and the like. Furthermore, there are provided a plurality of AC linear motors 4, which also serve as guide rails, arranged on a line with a predetermined interval on the inner wall of the pipe 2 over the entire length thereof, and a capsule 1 composed of a non-magnetic body having a groove 5 in the longitudinal direction to be fitted with the linear motor 4 and travelable freely through the pipe 2, while being guided by the linear motor 4, through wheels 3 contactable with the inner circumferential face of the pipe 2 provided with a reaction plate 9 on the upper face of the groove. Since the contacting section of the pipe 2 and the capsule 1 is reduced, high speed can be achieved.</p> |
