PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To drive plural movable bodies at the same time or individually both in the normal and reverse directions at an arbitrary speed. SOLUTION: A feed screw 4 and a rotating shaft 6 are provided in parallel on a bed of a machine tool, and driven by one motor. A nut member 14 and a slide member 15 are rotatably assembled to a saddle 3, the nut member 14 is screw-engaged with the feed screw 4, and the slide member 15 is supported on the rotating shaft 6 to be integrally rotatable and movable in the axial direction. A rotation transmitting mechanism for transmitting rotation of the slide member 15 to the nut member 14 is composed of a pulley 24, a pulley 23 and a V belt 25. The groove widths of the pulleys 24, 23 are varied through an operating member 32 by a motor 30 to change the transmission ratio of the rotation transmitting mechanism.
