The wheel axle (15) is supported by the casing (13) of the motor unit. The motor unit includes an internal combustion engine. The casing has a separating wall which divides the interior of the casing into left and right sided parts across the width of the vehicle and allows the output shaft (4) of the engine to pass through it. The separating wall is positioned adjacent to a plane that forms one of the planes defining the width of the tire (18). A group of rotating shafts including the output shaft, geared transmission (3) and axle of the wheel (14) are arranged longitudinally and parallel to each other. The transfer of power between the rotating shafts (5,36,61) is made through engaging toothed wheels that are arranged close to the separating wall.
