PURPOSE: A method for storing a gateway office specification and limit information of a gateway office system is provided to store information on the gateway office specification in the gateway office system and to store the gateway office limit information in data structures with the gateway office specification, so as to optimize a database related to the gateway specification/limit information. CONSTITUTION: A gateway office system uses a 32-bit data structure to define each bit location(0-31) as linkset group numbers of the gateway office system. The gateway office system uses '0' or '1' values stored in each bit as transmission interceptions or transmission permissions. The gateway office system stores message transfer part(MTP) originating point/incoming point limit information, signaling point/subsystem limit information of a signaling connection control part(SCCP) originating address part, and signaling point/subsystem limit information of an SCCP terminating address part.
