PURPOSE: A parking device for a CVT(Continuously variable transmission) is provided to improve the availability of a space and the degree of freedom of design for a CVT by mounting a parking device on a front face of a transmission case. CONSTITUTION: A parking device for a CVT comprises: a parking gear(6) to be mounted on a front face of a transmission case(1) and to be inserted into an output shaft(5); a parking sprag(7), one side of which links to the parking gear and other side is rotatably connected with a front face of the transmission through a return spring(14); a parking rod(4), one side of which is connected with a cam(8) and links the parking sprag to the parking gear through horizontally reciprocating motion, to be positioned in the upper of the parking sprag; a detent lever(3) to connect the other side of the parking rod with the one side of the parking shaft and to horizontally displace the parking rod as a fixed distance by a rotation motion of the parking shaft.
