Apparatus for dosed applying of smoking liquid is positioned in front of device for converting film web into sleeve. Mentioned device is joined to packaging tube. When necessary, drying device may be positioned between apparatus for dosed application of smoking liquid and sleeve producing device. Method and apparatus allow different kinds of products, including sausage products possessing smoke taste of predetermined strength, to be obtained.
