PURPOSE: A device for enhancing contrast is provided to use a histogram enhancing contrast according to brightness of images so as to enhance only contrast of data without enhancing noise. And the device enables a screen position to be set up according to a screen ratio. CONSTITUTION: A capture unit(31) stores inputted data in buckets, according to ranges during preset time. An average unit(33) averages the buckets during preset numbers of frames. A central bucket detection unit(34) detects the central bucket among preset number of pivots. A limit unit(35) limits the number of pixels inside the bucket, according to a preset limit value. A difference detection unit(36) compares a preset default value with the limit value of the limit unit(35), to detect a difference value. A balance unit(37) distributes the detected difference value to each bucket. A regeneration units(38,39) regenerate data newly inputted by generating a lookup table.
