The network forwards and distributes video, audio, and remote control signals by modulated carrier frequencies, together with current supply. By incorporating two or more network coupling points it is possible to control one or more remotely controllable luminaries with associated video cameras. The network coupling points are pref. in the form of coupling sockets for variable plugs, or as branch sockets for fixed installation of connectors, typically the network contains optical fiber cables with opto-electric and electro-optical transducers.
