<p>The invention concerns a device for cutting sheaths, envelopes or tubes containing optical fibres comprising a body and a cutting member. wherein the tool body includes two parts (10, 11) supporting the guide elements (30, 31), means for adjusting (20, 21) the spacing between the two parts (10, 11) so that the guide elements (30, 31) are opposite each other and constitute a guide for the tube, and wherein at least one of the two parts (10, 11) comprises a tool for machining (40, 41) the tube associated with means adjusting (50, 51) the tool penetration into said tube guide zone, the tube being opened after the tool has been passed once or several time. The invention is useful for stripping optical cables for line tapping.</p> |
