Sealing compound, especially for cable passages in ship bulkheads and boards composed of magnesium oxide, hydrated calcium sulphate, magnesium chloride and water, where it contains 32.5 - 42.5 percent by weight of magnesium oxide, 4-10 percent by weight of calcium hydroxide, 1.5-5.5 percent by weight of aluminous cement, 0.5 - 3.5 percent by weight of hydrated calcium sulphate, 16-26 percent by weight of magnesium chloride, 1.5-6.5 percent by weight of magnesium sulphite, 0.3 - 0.7 percent by weight of ethyl alcohol, 0.1 - 0.3 percent by weight of urea and 19.3 - 29.0 percent by weight of water. |
