The information unit has a cabinet body (10) enclosing a housing interior and containing switching electronics. The cabinet body has a user front (11) into which input and/or output units are integrated and a frame with a vertical frame profile with rows of attachment holders and at least partly clad with side walls (11). The user front is part of a panel (30) which is mounted on the front of the cabinet body.
